Mission Statement

About Colorado Acro Fest

The Colorado Acro Fest is a 3-day acrobatic festival that strives to create a positive and inclusive environment centered around learning new acrobatic skills from some of the best and most well-known teachers in the US and worldwide!

The main festival is 2 days long (Saturday/Sunday) and during this time instructors offer 32 unique classes in topics such as: L-base, dance lifts, hand-to-hand, icarian/pops, whips, trio/group skills, banquine and much more.  For those looking to add additional rigor to the experience there is a pre-festival “intensive” on Friday consisting of 6 hours of focused training in 1 of 4 tracks.

This festival is ideal for individuals who have 6+ months of prior experience in partner acrobatics.  While we offer “open level” classes that are appropriate for beginners, it is expected that participants have some training in the basic forms of acrobatic movement.  A “true” beginner might find the length of the festival experience to be challenging both mentally and physically.  Having said that…you will not be turned away if this challenge sounds right up your alley!

In addition to the structured format of classes,  the festival includes optional movement “jams” (or hangouts), a Saturday night talent show, lunchtime social justice discussions and lots of opportunities to build community and create new connections with fellow movers from all across the nation.

No matter what your approach to movement is…you are welcome here and can expect a supportive and positive community within this festival!
